Wavestar

Wavestar was a british Elektronic-Duo from Sheffield. The founder were John Dyson (11. March 1948 in Sheffield) and David Ward-Hunt, who died in 1999.
Wavestar was originated about 1984. Already the first album Mind Journey became in the electronics scene the big success. During the subsequent years Wavestar became by live appearances with the festival very much famous at that time in the British electronics scene "UK Electronica" as well as by the publication of the other to successful albums Zenith one of the most important British music formations in the style direction of the electronic instrumental music.
With the music of Wavestar it concerns melodic synthesizer music with influence of electronics pioneers like Tangerine Dream. On this occasion, are complementary John Dysons normally melodic style with David Ward-Hunts Sequenzersequences harmoniously.
In 1989 Wavestar resolved on account of personnel discrepancies. From this time John Dyson made an also successful solo career, started with the first solo CD appeared in 1989 to evolution. In the beginning he produced music on the specially founded record label „Surreally to Real“. Meanwhile his solo CDs as well as the Wavestar CDs are put on by the Dutch label Grooving Unlimited of the musician and producer Ron of boat (again).
