by Mike DaRoncoHaving the honors of starting a small punk scene in their hometown of Wakefield, England, as well as being the first band signed to the pop-punk empire known as Crackle Records, Chopper's simplistic style of innocent, easy to play three-chord pop-punk would eventually be heard internationally. Starting with the Said and Done EP debuting in 1994, Chopper's singles discography dominoed for the next two years to come on Crackle; this included "Self-Preservation Society" (1995), "Porcelain" (1996), "For Youth and Valour" (1996), a split with Broccoli (1996), followed by another one with Blew (1997). After a tour of England and Japan in 1997, Chopper put out the compilation Did You Hear That, which consists of all of their previous EP and compilation tracks releases since Said and Done. But it wasn't until 1998 when their first full-length, Last Call for the Dancers, was finally released; unfortunately, they broke up not too long after that.
