Colton Dixon is an independent artist, born and raised in Tennessee. Originally rising to fame as lead singer in the Christian rock band, Messenger, he became a favorite during the early auditions of American Idol. He auditioned with his younger sister, in Nashville, and is currently a contestant in the show’s tenth season Despite his audition not being aired during the telecast of the Nashville auditions, he made it through Hollywood, and into the Top 40. However he did not advance into the top 24, and was eliminated from the competition. Colton sings a mix of alternative rock and Christian music.
