Yvonne Fay Minton CBE (C) (born 4 December 1938) is an Australian opera singer. She is variously billed as a soprano, mezzo-soprano or contralto.
Yvonne Minton was born in Sydney, New South Wales.[1] She studied voice on a scholarship at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music.[1] She won the National Eisteddfod in Canberra, as well as number of other singing competitions. She became one of the country's leading contraltos, often appearing on radio and television and with the Sydney and Queensland orchestras.
