Ankla

Ankla(原词是Ancla，在西班牙语中是锚的意思。)是一支来自加州洛杉矶的带有譬如弗拉门戈那样的拉丁元素的金属乐队。Ankla2001年由吉他手Ramon Ortiz组建。2002年他们独立发行了一张7首歌的同名EP，制作人是Stone Sour乐队鼓手Roy Mayorga。2006年4月8日，Ankla宣布签约了Bieler Bros.公司。他们的首张专辑《Steep Trails》由Bob Marlette制作，于2006年7月25日发行。曲目被Sirius Satellite电台的"Hard Attack"栏目、XM电台和一些东海岸电台持续无线播送。2007年，Ankla登上了Ozzfest音乐节的第二舞台，受到好评。TheColumbusDispatch.com网站评论Ankla是“一支带有两个超速鼓手的洛杉矶猛团”。2008年，乐队阵容有了变动，Eddie Macias替换了原主唱Ikaro Stafford，前者和Ramon Ortiz在Puya乐队的早期合作过。2009年，他们发行了六曲EP《Persistence》。

By the arrival of the new millenium, after two major label releases and numerous nationwide and South American tours (including Ozzfest 1999) with former band PUYA, Ramon Ortiz was feeling the need to give life to a new incarnation of his musical soul. Driven by a burning desire to take his trademark Latin Metal sound to a new level, the Puerto Rican guitar player set out on a new journey. ANKLA was officially formed in 2001 ,meaning anchor in spanish the concept behind the name is a dynamic fusion of metal and caribbean(mostly puertorrican)music delivered in a savage way with tons'o groove. After several different lineup changes and many shows in the U.S. , Puerto Rico and Mexico the band released its debut album "Steep Trails"(Bieler Bros. 2006).Its single "Deceit" ended up in heavy rotation in Hard Attack(Sirius Satellie Radio)and ANKLA was invited to play the whole Ozzfest 2007 tour.Steep Trails was voted12 on the list of top metal albums 2006 of Revolver Magazine according to Sirius Hard Attack.Many national and international tours followed after that. In 2009 the band released its second recording,the "Persistence" ep,a six song collection that positions Ortiz & Co.way ahead in its evolution of latin metal.SUELTA EL ANKLA!!!
