Akem Manah is an eclectic doom metal band that was founded during the Winter of 2007 in East-Flanders, Belgium. Its musical and lyrical concepts are mainly inspired by authors and musicians such as Lovecraft, Poe, James, Peake, Camus, Céline, My Dying Bride, Morgion, Karl Sanders, The Vision Bleak, Saturnus, Opeth, ... A number of line-up changes caused the début release "The Testament of Sealant Mound" to be delayed until August 2010. Instead of opting for impersonal and expensive studios, the band chose to record, master and design everything by themselves. This "educational" approach ensures that "The Testament of Sealant Mound" can be sold at only 4 Euro's. * We suggest you use some quality headphones or speakers to listen to the album, it makes all the difference. * A new release is coming Winter 2011!!! .. ..
