Olia Tira

Olia Tira was born in Germany in 1988 and will be the Moldavian hope in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest.
Olia graduated from the Chisinau Conservatory as a pop/jazz vocalist.
She is on the big scene since sixteen years old.
Her first pop-rock СD named “Your Place or Mine?” was published in 2007.
Olia Tira worked with many well-known musicians such as “Zdob si Zdub”, DJ Tom Boxer, Paul Weston, Greg Hubbard and others from every corner of the earth, including Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Latvia, USA, Germany and others.
She is the winner of vocal competitions in many countries of the world.
Olia Tira have got 5 medals in “XIII World Championship of Performing Art” in Los Angeles in 2009, also she has a gold medal in a “Modern vocal” nomination.
Olia Tira also had won “The Smash Hit 2010” and “The Platinum Wave 2010” as a singer who have the greatest rotation on the radio stations.
In 2009 Olia Tira and “Sunstroke Project” have made friends.
This friendship has outgrown in successful cooperation.
“Run Away” was the first joint creation. Initially this song has not been written specially for Eurovision Song Contest but when the national preselection has begun, they have decided that “Run Away” will be a serious bid for victory. Thus, this song has won national selection in the 2010 Eurovision in Republic of Moldova. Olia Tira and “Sunstroke Project” received a maximum quantity of points from televiewers and jury. This song also will represent Republic of Moldova in Oslo.
