Blackfish

Hailing from the Frankfurt area, Blackfish is the musical output of Maximillian Lopp and Andreas Baßermann. .. .. For more than 15 years they have been active as musicians and music producers in the local music scene. Maximillian created 'Blackfish' in 1998 using his faith and imagination of deep, atmospheric trip-hop and downbeats. He took the melancholic jazz tunes and concise beats that were in his head and set them free, making them a reality. .. .. In 2001 the first album was released on the Konvex Konkav label. With all of his hard work, success was soon to follow. His presence on many important compilations and continuous airplay lead to world wide recognition. New opportunities arose including remixes for Beanfield and Slop Shop, as well as a contribution to the cult Walldorf compilation "Zeitlos II". With driving ambition, Max felt the need to venture out of the studio and take Blackfish from the basement to the stage. .. .. 2001 also saw the addition of Andreas, with whom he worked the songs into a live performance. The vision of playing live music brought Max and Andreas a certain intense, yet cohesive collaboration with a variety of talented musicians lending way to a new horizon, full of endless possibilities in making music. 2004 is the year of a new blackfish Album. The Album “Hidden Shore” carries collaborations with a few well known musicians like Peter Schwalm, MC Santana, Raechell Schäfer, Tricky Chris and Markus Rayford. The release was at Maxelect Records
