Mateo Pascual was born in Valencia, Spain in 1974. He showed his passion for music when he was a child and started composing music very early on with just an old keyboard and a small sequencer.
A few years later in 1989 he began to compose music for some groups of the Commodore Amiga demo scene. During that period he won several music contests and in 1996 he completed his first videogame work, composing the soundtrack of the video game Cyber Police.
Two years later Mateo received an offer from Pyro Studios to compose the music of the multi-million seller Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty. He then moved to Madrid to join Pyro Studios. After Commandos Beyond the Call of Duty he started working on Commandos 2 Men of Courage where he worked not just making the audio and music of the game but also lead the production department.
Once Commandos 2 was released Pyro Studios grew to the point of having three AAA games in development at the same time and Mateo headed the audio department of the studio in addition to composing the music of the projects.
Mateo is always focused on innovation and achieving the maximum level in each project that he takes on. He works with top audio engineers, orchestras, choirs, audio software and libraries, always ready to adapt fully to the requirements of the project.
Due to this dedication and professionalism, Mateo has achieved great press reviews as well as several nominations and awards.
