Dog Is Dead

Formed from the meeting of five lively minds in Nottingham in 2008 Dog Is Dead have self-released a trilogy of singles.
 
The trilogy consists of ‘Glockenspiel Song’, 'Young' and 'River Jordan'.
 
Captivating their home town of Nottingham almost immediately, a string of festival performances across the likes of Dot to Dot and Splendour in 2009 had suggested this might be the way and confirmation came in repeat showings in 2010 in the fields of Glastonbury, where they became the only unsigned band to feature on the BBC2 coverage, and Summer Sundae. Huw Stephens declared ‘I defy you not to like this band’ whilst fellow Radio 1 type Kissy Sell Out was so enamoured he created his own remix of ‘Glockenspiel Song’.
 
Second single ‘Young' hit the Radio 1 playlist through Introducing just a few weeks before 3rd single 'River Jordan' came out in February 2011.
 
The release of ‘River Jordan’ marks the end of the first chapter of the Dog Is Dead story. Their appearance in the final episode of the current run of ‘Skins’, following in the footsteps of Foals and Crystal Castles, suggests where chapter 2 might lead.
