Rendezvous Park

Rendezvous Park started in January 2008 when Kai Kousa and Mikael Nousiainen decided to put together little demos and improvised tracks they had been recording on the side of their other band project. The original idea was just to pack up and release the songs as they were as quickly as possible. “Keep it simple” was the motto. Well that didn’t exactly work out… Nearly two years after the start the length of the EP has doubled and it’s no longer even considered to be an EP, album being much more appropriate definition. There were also two new songs that were added on the run while the album was being recorded. “To make the emotional curve peak before descending down to calmer waters of the album closer ‘…leaves’” as Kai put it. Musically they draw influences from post-rock, movie soundtracks and diverse collection of artists. They write, perform, mix and produce all their material (well, don’t everyone?).
