Big Picture

The Big Picture（大片），瑞典音乐人Mikael Salomonsson的单人团。现场乐队主要由来自Springfactory、Television keeps us apart等乐队的乐手朋友和前The Gentleman Racer的老队友组成。乐队给已有的歌曲尝试新的编配，赋予它们新的生命与活力。这支现场乐队总在不断更换成员，往后恐怕也将一直如此。因此The Big Picture只能算个人计划，唯一固定不变的成员只有歌曲创作者Mikael Salomonsson。。
2009年夏，The Big Picture将以完整的乐队形式开始中国巡演，包括北京、南京、上海、杭州四个城市。这将是一段奇趣美妙的旅行。他们将带来动听而丰富的声音。不论是indie的律动还是pop的深情，美丽的旋律是他们的标志。
The Big Picture is music made by Swedish musician Mikael Salomonsson. Since he joined his first band in junior high school he’s been involved in several bands and music projects playing diverse styles of music. Parallel with the bands there has always been a solo project, and after 2006 (when Mikael’s former band The Gentleman Racer decided to stop playing together) The Big Picture became the main thing.
The First CDr made under the name The Big Picture came in 2004 and since then there have been 2 more CDr:s. The last one, entitled “Songs from a hard sleeper”, came in 2006 following a trip to China and India (Hard Sleeper is a train carriage class in China). It was not until the finishing of this CD that The Big Picture started to regularly do shows. With the help of friends from other Stockholm bands like Springfactory, Television keeps us apart and former The Gentleman Racer members Salomonsson began to play clubs and events in and around Stockholm. In the summer of 2007 The Big Picture also played the demo stage of the Quart festival in Norway.
With The Big Picture Mikael Salomonsson aims to combine great song writing influenced by people like Elliott Smith, Cat Power and Neil Young with the playful productions of contemporary indie and lo-fi music. Growing up in the Stockholm suburb Haninge (known for giving rise to a lot of great Swedish bands), the creative spirit of the Haninge musicians has been a great influence for The Big Picture.
