Ever since its beginning, Tara King th. has sided with explorers.
 
From the dark and sensual electro of &Sequence 01& (2003) to the intimate and minimalist acoustic of &A sigh of relief& (2006) through the &like in a film & romantic-pop of &the tara king theory& (2005). At first a solo project, then a trio, it is now as a fully-fledged band that TKth. approaches its new &Extravagant...& project. Today whilst refusing generic pigeonholing Tara King th. shows its true colours. Being more radical, more direct, the new free as a bird project &Extravagant.
 
On their first LP Sequence 01, Tara King Th. unveiled their very own setting, both dark and sensual where electronic, trip-hop and downtempo roamed together. Tara King Th. was given the opportunity to spin the textures laid on Sequence 01 at their furthermost, weaving an outstanding soundtrack for the electro tale Harold.
 
While collaborating on an extensive list of projects (concerts, remixes, compilations, music for film works, etc.) and producing a stand-alone EP (the Echoes Of The Future EP), Tara King Th. released its second album, The Tara King Theory. Besides being a significant step into the band’s development it is also softer and more serene. Inward-led, this second album blended music “on a cinematic trip” with boudoir-like electro pop.
 
With A Sigh Of Relief, Tara King Th. avoids stumbling on the repetition block and delivers an acoustic and raw record. Way acoustic and raw. The band turns away from the electronic buzzword and strips down to the bare essentials: a soft-key electric piano, shrouding and subdued drums, a softly haunting voice — breathy and sultry to boot.
