Hailing from the suburbs of Sydney, RESIST THE THOUGHT is a band that cannot be chained down into a particular genre. Instead they fuse core elements of metal, hardcore, death metal and thrash to create the sound that is Resist The Thought. With influences ranging from August Burns Red and All Shall Perish to Whitechapel, each band member brings their own particular style to the music.
After years of searching they have irrevocably assembled the most defined line-up obtainable, bringing melodic, yet brutal guitar riffs, fast technical drums, diving bass riffs and gut wrenching, relentless vocals to the stage in their face paced, vigorous and energetic live performance.
RESIST THE THOUGHT have recently released their debut EP entitled 'The Gift Of Sacrifice', tracked and mixed by Dave Hammer at both The Brain and Dave Hammer Studios. Through this release they signed to Emissary management, which has prooven to be a good move for the band as they landed support for The Red Shore/For The Fallen Dreams(US) 'Set It Off' Tour.
It can be expected that 2009 will be a big year for the band, with their recent EP release and signing to Emissary Management, fans can expect a full year of shows and tours Australia wide.
