愛知県豊橋市出身のラッパー兼トラックメーカー。十数年前からウエストコーストのHIP HOPカルチャーに魅了され、後にアーティストとしての活動を開始する。
2003年にKALT SOUNDSよりリリースされた1stミニアルバム、「PLAY ON ＴＨＥ STREET」で衝撃的なデビューを飾る。その後、シングル、REMIXアルバム等、数々の作品をコンスタントにリリースし、2005年初のフルアルバムである「II-J GROOVIN」の爆発的ヒットにより、一躍ジャパニーズウェッサイシーンのフロントラインへと躍り出る。
その勢いは留まることを知らず、2006年にはシングル「BIG PLAYERS」・「IN THE SUMMER TIME」をKALT SOUNDSより二ヶ月連続でリリース。
さらに2007年HOOD SOUND RECORDSへ移籍後、同年6月にリリースされたアルバム「NEW OLD STOCK」も好調なセールスを記録。このアルバムでは全曲、彼がプロデュースを行い、彼の色でもあるトラックメイクに誰しもが唸らされる作品となった。
また、LIVEも勢力的にこなしており、国内のアーティストとの共演は勿論、ICE CUBE, WC, DAZ DILLINGER, KURUPT, MC EIHT, FOESUM, DJ QUIK, XZIBIT, FROST, LV, SHADE SHIST, TQ, NUNE, BIG STEEL, G MALONE, SLOW PAIN, FINGAZZ, ROSCOE, HI-C, DJ CRAZY TOONES, DJ COKE-E, DJ E-MEN, DJ MANDO他、等といった数多くのWEST COASTを代表するアーティストのJAPAN TOURに必ずと言っても良い程、フロントアクトをこなして来た。それにに加え、フィーチャリングでも、FOESUM, FINGAZZ, S.S.O.L., MARLON MONEY等といったWEST COASTのアーティストのアルバムにも客演を果たしている。
そして、ラッパーでありながらもプロデュースワークを巧みにこなす彼が今までに提供した楽曲数は数十曲にも及び、国内外、そしてHIP HOPと言うジャンルの枠を飛び越え非常に多くのアーティストに定評のある“TWO-J BEATS”を生み出している。
数々の経験を積み、2009年６月に約２年ぶりとなる待望のNEWアルバム「Mr.DEUCE」をリリース。発売一週間にして、過去の作品を遥かに上回るセールスを記録、様々なショップのセールスランキングにチャートインを果たし、各方面からの高評価を得ている。
現在、確実に日本のウエストコーストスタイルのHIP HOPシーンにおいて、欠かす事の出来ないアーティストである。
TWO-J is rapper and track maker from Toyohashi, Aichi. He has been fascinated by HIP HOP culture of West Coast for a few decades and he started his activity as the artist. In 2003, he made a sensational debut with 1st mini album 「PLAY ON ＴＨＥ STREET」 which was released from KALT SOUNDS. After that, he constantly released many works like singles and REMIX albums. The first album 「II-J GROOVIN」 became a big hit in 2005 and he made a dramatic entrance to the frontline of Japanese West Coast Style scene. His enthusiasm continued and he released the single 「BIG PLAYERS」・「IN THE SUMMER TIME」 from KALT SOUNDS in 2 consecutive months, 2006. Furthermore, he moved to HOOD SOUND RECORDS in 2007 and the album 「NEW OLD STOCK」 released June in 2007 was recorded good sales. In this album, he produced all songs and showed his great ability as the track maker. Also, he actively does lives and performs with Japanese artists and many representative of West Coast artists like ICE CUBE, WC, DAZ DILLINGER, KURUPT, MC EIHT, FOESUM, DJ QUIK, XZIBIT, FROST, LV, SHADE SHIST, TQ, NUNE, BIG STEEL, G MALONE, SLOW PAIN, FINGAZZ, ROSCOE, HI-C, DJ CRAZY TOONES, DJ COKE-E, DJ E-MEN, DJ MANDO and he always performed front act in their Japan tours. In addition to this, he joined the albums of artists in West Coast as guest appearances and featured with artists like FOESUM, FINGAZZ, S.S.O.L., MARLON MONEY. Also, he is rapper and producer and he has provided dozens of songs to many artists not only in Japan, but also in overseas. His genre is not only HIP HOP and he produces his own “TWO-J BEATS”. He has experienced a variety of things and the long-awaited new album in 2 years 「Mr.DEUCE」 was released in June 2009. Only 1 week after the release, this album recorded higher sales than the previous his works and recorded in a variety of shop sales rankings. Now, he is the must artist in HIP HOP scene of Japanese West Coast style.
