Steffen Schackinger grew up with his mother and sister though frequently visiting his father, who played as 1st French Hornist in the Odense Symphony Orchestra. As a young child, Steffen played Violin and Piano but later he focused on the electric guitar – which is now his main instrument.
Since then Steffen toured Europe with different bands and supported Deep Purple and ZZ Top on various occasio
ns. Since then, playing with different bands, theatre companies, Symphony Orchestras, working as a studio musician, doing music for TV shows and teaching/clincs, has been a part of Steffens work as a musician. All this, and many other things, led to the creation of the album “ElectriGuitartistry”, an album that allowed Steffen to play music the way he heard it, not having to “compromise” with other band members or any kind of employers. It reveals the true and honest sound of Steffen´s musical skills and allows him to do what he does best. Simply make music.
