Since the formation of the band, Overhead, The Albatross have made a lot of noise on the Dublin music scene; selling out shows across the capital with their intricate yet powerful melodies and energetic stage presence. Their passion for creating music can be clearly heard and felt. Wherever they tour, their music and live show are met with acclaim.
A diligent lot, they track, mix and master all their own material and have released two EPs; ‘Lads With Sticks’ in January 2011 and ‘Mr Dog’ in August 2011. They have since also released the single ‘Think, Thank, Thunk’ in March 2012.
Most recently they travelled into the wilderness of the Czech Republic for three months of solitude to write material for their debut album. This will be released later in the year when they will embark on a national and international tour.

We're delighted to have played festivals such as Electric Picnic, Indiependance and Castlepalooza in 2012, while also packing out venues such as The Workmans Club, The Button Factory and Whelans.
We're in the studio at the moment recording our debut album after three months writing in the Czech Republic and we look forward to getting it out there...
