Emilio Kauderer is an Argentine musician, and score composer who has worked extensively in the Cinema of Argentina Latin Music.
He had produced the soundtrack to films such as Plata dulce (1982), Abierto de 18 a 24 (1988), Al filo de la ley (1992) and Asesinato a distancia (1998).
Emilio Kauderer also composed the music score for The Patriots,(winner, San Diego Film Festival 2002), Friends & Lovers with Robert Downey Jr. and Stephen Baldwin, and A Place in the World, 1993 Oscar Nominee for Best Foreign Film.
Emilio’s music has been featured on several episodes of "Life With Bonnie," "Resurrection Boulevard," and "Dead Like Me", among other television series.
His recording Maromas can be heard currently on KCRW and is part of an electronica project, Bajofondo Tango Club, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla which was recently released by Universal Records.
Emilio’s classical work includes his First Symphony, which was featured by the National Symphony of Argentina, and the Honduras National Symphony this past summer and received enthusiastic reviews.
Emilio composed the music for the videos for Ricky Martin’s "Livin la Vida Loca" tour (2000) and collaborated with Jon Secada, Thalía, and Hot Karl in other projects.
Emilio was honored by the Sundance Institute with a fellowship to the Composer’s Lab (2001), and selected to compose the music for New York's Museum of Tolerance main exhibit piece as well as the computer programming of the Opening Music for the Winter Olympics 2002 composed by Michael Kamen.
Emilio still receives accolades for his Latino musical "Paquito's Christmas," which appeared at the Washington Opera and the Pasadena Civic Center in Los Angeles, featuring Plácido Domingo’s grandson, Dominic. "Paquito" was featured for the ninth year at the Pasadena Civic Center for the 2002 holiday season.
