Mokita is Nashville based chill pop Songwriter and Producer John Luke Cartner.  He has seen notable success over the pastfew years, with over 400 million streams across his releases as of 2022.  "Room for another" is  about the transition of letting someone else into your life. While writing the song, John Luke  envisioned it as this two-fold idea; one was on the level of someone occupying this physical space, like the space in a house, and then also this more metaphysical space where you’re making room emotionally for someone else. The production's simplicity for drums, bass and piano let the lyric and melody be the focal point, while the song itself leaves one with a feeling of longing and hopefulness.
