The Sleep Shelter

The lead track of this EP, 'Plucked', best suggests as to where Rachel is taking her music. Given her background, it's far more stripped down than you may be expecting. This time there are no electronic vocal effects, swathing walls of reverb or atmospheric slide guitar for her to hide behind. Instead, you are treated to a far more holistic affair that shows Rachel for being the real talent she is (who, fortunately, is no longer hidden away in the crowd). 

Both this EP and the album were recorded with co-writer Joe Light and producer David Naughton. They have managed to capture on tape Rachel's bewitching vocals and build pure atmosphere, full of warmth and depth, around her. It's unlike anything she's done before. 

This EP features two tracks from her debut album, 'Plucked' and 'Sleepless & Tooting', and three tracks exclusive to this release, 'Flying With Gene', 'Stickin' With Grace' and 'Come Rescue Me'.
