Hailing from Sweden, Yind found a way to entreat English-speaking indie rock fans without having to speak their language. Instead, they spoke to them through their instruments in long, meditative pieces that constantly build tension. Drawing comparisons to experimentalists Ganger and indie rockers Blonde Redhead, Yind eventually signed to Unwound's label Punk in My Vitamins, who released two self-titled albums, a 10" and an LP. The second album featured a remix of a track on the debut by the Replikants (comprised of two members of Unwound).
